Devine Photography is a husband and wife team by Jodi and Bill Kouwe, who have been photographing together since 1996. Our style of photography is fun, creative, contemporary and fresh with a passion for capturing the emotion of any event and the important details that surround them.
Our approach to photography is based on the belief that each event and photograph is unique. With our true love and joy for photography, we blend journalistic coverage with both traditional and creative photography.
Why the name DEVINE? First of all most have a hard time spelling and saying our last name, Kouwe (pronounced “coy”), so we needed to come up with something easier. Second, we are inspired and driven by the love of our family. Our heritage of extremely strong family traditions and bonds began with Jodi’s great-great-grandmother, Devine. Because Devine is such a special name to our family and is so similar to the word “Divine” (meaning supremely good or beautiful; magnificent) we feel that it perfectly represents both our family and our approach to photographing your unique event.
We enjoy our home in Spring Valley, California with our two cats, Honey and Tiger, and our two dogs, Buster the Beagle and Padma the Pomeranian. We are most happy when we are spending time with animals, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. All of these experiences are enhanced when we can capture our special moments on film.
